Gossip Girl aired it's fifth season last night. I didn't watch it (not many people did).

As you know, Gossip Girl was renewed for a fifth season with 24 for a total of 111 episodes whilst One Tree Hill was renewed for a ninth season consisting of 13 episodes giving it a total of 187 episodes.

Gossip Girl aired it's fifth season last night and had 1.37 million viewers. #FAIL!

One Tree Hill's fifth season two-hour premiere had 3.47 millions. More than twice the premiere of Gossip Girl's premiere.

I did some research, and every season premiere was higher for OTH than GG, the series premiere being the exception. The series premiere of Gossip Girl had 3.5 million viewers, while OTH had 2.5 million. HOWEVER, for the second episode of Gossip Girl the viewership DROPPED to 2.5 million viewers, and episode TWO of OTH ELEVATED up to 3.3 million, for the third 2.75 and 3.54, and the fourth 2.8 and 3.8.

* - Oddly enough, with both shows, the most viewed episode was the third episode of the second season for both shows. Gossip Girl with 3.73 million viewers, and One Tree with 5.43 million.

GOSSIP GIRL DOES NOT DESERVE 100 EPISODES.

ONE TREE HILL DESERVES 200.

It's sad.

Season Nine Cast Comes Together

Sophia Bush tweeted:
"Well faithful followers ... I am officially in for ONE last year of OTH. The writers have GREAT plans! Now all we need is a CW pick up! ;)"
Austin Nichols tweeted:
"I signed for ONE more season of One Tree Hill. Now its time for all of you to tell the CW Network that you want them to pick it up for S9."

Sophia also mentioned in a tweet that ROBERT BUCKLEY (Clay), JANA KRAMER (Alex), and LISA GOLDSTEIN (Millicent) have all also signed on for a season nine. And everybody is wondering if James and Joy will, and thinking they might leave the same way Chad and Hilarie left. No. They'll come back. In October, Bethany Joy Galeotti said "I'm absolutely staying! I'll be here until the bitter end, I'm sure." And I don't know why James wouldn't sign on. I have confidence that they will be back too.

Bethany Joy Lenz Season Two Absences

In the second half of season two of One Tree Hill, the character of Haley was away on a concert tour while the actress Bethany Joy Lenz was away at the One Tree Hill Concert Tour.
Due to the concert tour, Galeotti was absent from the show.

2x14 - One Scene
2x15 - Not in the episode at all :'(
2x16 - In several scenes
2x17 - In a good amount of scenes
2x18 - When Nathan returns home at the end of the episode, there is a message on the answering machine from Haley. Her voice is heard, so I like to say that shes in it, but she really isn't.
2x19 - She makes a cameo appearance at the very beginning. She and Nathan are lying in bed together, then she fades away because she is not with him in anymore. She is seen, so she IS in the episode.

Even if you say 2x19 doesn't count, I feel like at least one of the two (2x18 and 2x19) should count. But I'm unsure whether or not they would both count.

Whenever I list the cast in order of episodes they're in (which I do a lot because I'm really lame) sometimes I put Joy first and say that both 2x18 and 2x19 count, and others I put Sophia first. I spend too much time worrying about this...

Due to maternity leave, some of the upcoming season eight episodes will also have a little less Haley :'(

One Tree Hill Every Episode Ever Marathon?

Me and my friend Bethany have to decided to have an Every Episode Of One Tree Hill Ever Marathon (haha, yeah, totally crazy, and probably impossible to do, right?). And if we do, it probably won't be 122 hours long, with no breaks. Maybe we'll do like season 1 one day, then season two another day, and so on. (Not necessarily consecutive days.)
Well, anyway, if we do I will be checking, and making check lists for each episode to see
-How many episodes is Nathan shirtless in?
-What is the percentage of episodes with Nathan shirtless in season 1?
-What is the percentage of episodes with Nathan shirtless in season 8?
- Does Nathan keep his shirt on more and more as time goes by?
And if we do I will check other things as well. Just to help my One Tree Hill Expert Knowledge expand.

One Tree Hill: Season Nine

I didn't want a season nine at first, but One Tree Hill deserves an announced final season with promotional cast photo-shoot pictures. I mean, seriously CW? What's with only giving your shows promotional photo-shoots every other season? Also, Robert Buckley, Shantel Vansanten, and Jana Kramer deserve another season. They are all amazing, and if Chad and Hilarie got 6 seasons, I think they should at least get 3.
Haha, it's funny though, what I just said reminded me of something. Earlier I said "I didn't want a season nine at first," when actually at one point I was like "Okay, there are going to be 12 seasons and 260 episodes so Rob, Shantel, and Jana can be in as many episodes as Chad and Hilarie." Yeah... weird how our opinions can change so easily. I went from wanting 12 seasons, then realized that would never happen, and wanting season 8 to be the final, and now I want a season 9.
So anyway I want a season nine. And I have some pretty epic ideas for it. :)
